Megan Williams MS, LPC, NCC
Hello, I’m so glad you have taken this very important first step in your journey to feeling like yourself again! (Or maybe for the first time!)
A few things about me…
My education includes a BA in Psychology/Behavioral Science, a Master of Science in Counseling, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Mental Health. I am also a National Certified Counselor, which means that I actively go above and beyond the general licensing and education requirements to prepare myself to be the most inclusive, dynamic, and effective therapist possible. Before my work as a private practice therapist, I spent a few years working as a high school counselor at Milwaukee Public Schools and served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin School Counselor Association. All of these experiences combined together to create an immense love for what I do.
At different points in our lifetime, we may have experiences that cast a shadow of self-doubt over our lives. That self-doubt oftentimes causes us to second guess every decision, making it difficult to focus on what is important. Some may find themselves realizing for the first time that they have never really decided who they want to be or what they want to do with their lives. Many people may find themselves feeling increasingly overwhelmed, confused, and discouraged.
My mission is to hold space for growth and transformation. I work collaboratively with the humans in front of me to assist them as they learn to clarify values, identify value aligned behaviors, set boundaries, and love themselves. I specialize in working with people who want to work through low-self esteem, people pleasing, poor boundaries, life transitions, anxiety symptoms, depression, difficulty managing stress, navigating difficult relationships. Sessions with me are affirming, warm, and progress driven.
I provide online therapy for people based in both Wisconsin and Texas. When I am not in sessions I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, exercising, traveling, working on my golf swing, and attending live music events.
